LAND CLEARING?

We offer lot clearing and view enhancing services for various types of situations. We have the necessary equipment and provide two chainsaw operators to clear large areas for new construction, property additions, and other special projects. The rolling hills of East Tennessee offer many spectacular views. Unfortunately, these views can sometimes be blocked by large trees or overgrown brush. We provide services that will enhance view points and increase your property value. Our goal is to help you reclaim, clear, restore, and enjoy more of your property while keeping the vegetation you want healthy and unharmed. Our land clearing equipment not only clears trees and brush quickly but it also helps return nutrients to the ground and prevent erosion; it is also much faster, cheaper and involve less mess than a haul-away or burning approach .  Got trees, brush or stumps freeloading on your land? We’ll grind them back into the dirt. Is your property line more brush than a fence? We will clear it out in no time. Need a section of woods cleared for a hunting lane, building site, or just a better view from your existing home? Have a property you would like to clean up and sell for top dollar? We do that as well.

WHAT IS FORESTRY MULCHING?

The equipment grinds down the cleared vegetation on the spot and leaves behind a fine layer of mulch that can be immediately driven over or seeded. To get the finer mulch look it will take more time as the machine will have work longer to get the finer mulcher look. The mulch reintroduces nutrients back into the soil, provides effective erosion control and protects the top soil, making it functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. Property owners, realtors, and contractors alike are pleased to learn that forestry mulching can be done year round and usually without requiring a permit.  When the job is done, all that is left behind is a layer of natural mulch that is environmentally friendly and pleasing to the eye.

Forestry mulching leaves the soil intact, eliminates the need for burning, hauling and disposing of debris, and minimizes soil erosion and run off problems associated with conventional land clearing methods making it an ideal option for a wide variety of land clearing jobs.

FORESTRY MULCHING SAVES TIME AND MONEY!

Forestry mulching is also more cost effective than clearing land by chainsaw and tractor or bulldozer and hauler. Hand-cutting and hauling have a low equipment cost but are insufficient for this job. Using a bulldozer and hauler may be more efficient but at a much higher cost. Forestry mulching’s one-machine, one-operator method uses less fuel and has low equipment and operator cost as well as a level of efficiency with which the other methods cannot compete. Forestry mulchers also eliminate many of the time-consuming steps involved in land clearing by processing trees and other vegetation right where they stand.

THE SMART CHOICE IN A VARIETY OF ENVIRONMENTS!

Forestry mulching is a good choice for a variety of environments. In rural areas it can be used to clear and maintain access roads or regain control of encroaching brush, making it easier to access fence lines and field perimeters. For commercial properties, forestry mulching can transform your grounds into a park-like oasis, increasing your curb appeal and property value. Forestry mulching is also a great choice for government properties, maintaining state and federal building grounds, parks and campgrounds as well as efficiently managing storm damage clean-up.

WHO USES FORESTRY MULCHING?

Land and Farm owners:

Maintaining farms and or property is an exhausting job that consumes a lot of time of our time. Maintaining all access roads, eliminating encroaching brush, and accessing fence lines are all done with ease and efficiency while using a forestry mulcher.

Here various services we can offer to prevent you from needing a chainsaw:

• Field and pasture reclamation

• Field and pasture perimeter clearing

• Trail and road construction

• Trail and road overgrowth clearing

• Pond clearing and maintenance

Commercial and Business Properties:

Forestry mulching isn’t useful in rural areas alone. We will work on commercial properties, small and large, and we can work with your landscapers to perfect your curb appeal. Forestry mulching can turn your pace into a park-like ground, bringing the much-needed value. Forestry mulching can enhance and maintain your property more efficiently causing fewer disruptions as compared to other excavating methods.

We offer services that include:

• Commercial property maintenance

• Site preparation and lot clearing

• Views cape clearing

• Clearing and maintenance of retention ponds

Government Land:

We believe that forestry mulching can be used to tackle state projects while at the same time maintaining low costs.

We can offer the following services:

• Park and campground clearing

• Vegetation management

• Storm damage and disaster cleanup

• Recreational field clearing

• Wildfire prevention

• Clearing and maintenance of road overgrowths

Licensed & Insured Licensed & Insured: Why Does It Matter?   Offering tree services can be a risky business. Insurance protects you while we are on your property doing the work you’ve asked us to do. If a crew was to drop a tree branch on your shed, break a window, damage a deck, or if there is any other significant damage caused by crews while performing the services, the location's insurance company will pay the repair bills.

If you use a contractor who is not insured, and damage occurs while the company is doing the work, your insurance company may end up paying the repair cost, and could raise your insurance rates—sometimes dramatically depending on the degree of damage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at crookedforkfarmsllc@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Every job that we do has certain elements that make it unique, which is why we offer a Forestry consultation at no charge. Our visit to your property will give us the opportunity to review the project and provide an accurate and fixed cost to you after we see it.

The size of the work area, density of the underbrush, and grade of the land determine cost of the Forestry Mulching and Land clearing. Some factors that determine cost include; diameter of the trees, the number of trees verses brush, acreage, landscape( steep areas, lots of rocks), species of trees (hardwood vs cedar). Etc

We work around them and leave them unharmed.

We offer stump removal. Please refer to our stump removal page.

Forestry Mulching has quickly become the fastest, easiest & most cost effective way to clear land by far. In most cases the need to remove the entire root system of the tree is just not necessary. By mulching the trees and vegetation where they stand and leaving the root system in place, it greatly reduces the risk of soil erosion and impact on the surrounding environment. This is important because the soil is the foundation for anything you are going to do to the land whether building, seeding or planting. The mulched material can be left on the ground and will act as an erosion barrier while returning nutrients back into the soil through decomposition. This type of land clearing also eliminates many other steps involved in land clearing such as site prep, cutting/felling/hauling, and site cleanup. Forestry mulching eliminates the need for other heavier duty equipment which reduces emissions and cost for the consumer. All in all forestry mulching saves the consumer money and time.

Anytime is a good time for forestry mulching and reclaiming your land. We work in all seasons. In the winter and spring when the foliage and leaves have fallen our visibility is clearer. This makes it a little easier on us as we can see what is on the ground. However, it doesn't have an effect on our ability to forestry mulch in any season.

The land can be used immediately. There are no large holes or mess left behind like other land clearing methods.
